The band’s violinist Attila, started his folk music journey at the age of 12. He began his studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy in Budapest in Autumn 2011 in the folk music department. Currently he is a teacher on the masters programme at Liszt Ferenc Academy, he is also the violinist of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, he is a lecturer at the Bartók Music School and he is also the composer, collaborator and guest performer of the Harghita National Sekler Folk Ensemble.
In 2013, as a 20 year old musician, he won the 4th Violin Contest in Kecskemét, Hungary and in 2015 he received the highest award to recognise his musicianship, outstanding skills and achievements. The band plays authentic folk music, primarily Transylvanian Hungarian folk music, whilst also representing the musical Hungarian mother-tongue of the entire Carpathian Basin.
His band Attila Mihó and Friends was formed in 2010. During the first four years he organised his own dance-houses in Budapest. Up to this day he is a regular guest of the Sebő Club, as well as the Fonó Budai Music House.
Over the last 8 years the band has been slowly developing it’s current repertoire and in 2017 the band released it’s first album entitled “Which Road…”
