At Zsigmond Kiraly Supplementary School we focus on youth-work as well. Our mission is to help young people to understand their mixed social and national identities,  focusing their creative energy on creativity and self-esteem development. Therefore, they learn self-awareness, assertive communication and improvisation through drama, they also develop respect, listening skills, responsibility, conflict handling and empathy through our art projects.

This year we focused our work on creating a short film about carefully selected and most famous Hungarian developments. Why film? Because young people can collaborate with their common talents under a single project from the research phase to music, drawing, filming, acting, narrating and editing. In addition, they had to work together in sub-project groups, which supports the above mentioned goals.  With the support of partner organisation Beat Bazaar projects the group is working towards an Arts Award qualification and has also attended a professional recording studio.

We hope you gain some new knowledge from the presentation about the most famous Hungarian inventions, while enjoying the short film, music and activities at the same time.
