"With a passion for tradition and a longing for home, the Tezaur Ensemble brings the charm of Romanian folk dance to the stage, celebrating the energy and authenticity of traditions from across Romania. Founded in the West Midlands in 2016, the ensemble is now based in the North East of England.
Bringing together members who share a genuine love for folk dance, the group conveys through every performance the joy and spirit of Romanian folklore.
Their repertoire includes dances from Moldova, Transylvania, Muntenia, Oltenia, Dobrogea and Maramureș, presented in lively, stage-adapted choreographies while preserving their traditional character. With authentic costumes and a vibrant stage presence, each performance is a celebration of culture and community.
Led by Emy Stoicescu, the ensemble continues to share and celebrate these traditions across the UK.
