Klára Répás Master of Honeybread

Klara Repas is a Leeds-based gingerbread artist of Hungarian origin. Her gingerbread creations are artistically recognized by the Hungarian Heritage House in Budapest.
Klara is deeply connected to nature. Her sources of inspiration are her travels, the folk customs of different countries, and the colours of everyday life. Klara has lived in Paris, Mumbai, New York, and now resides in Yorkshire. Creating gingerbread allows her to connect with new cultures while preserving her roots.
On this occasion, Klara will be making traditional gingerbreads for Góbéfest and will be presenting her creations which have been awarded the title of masterpiece and artistic product by the Hungarian Heritage House in Budapest. This way, visitors will gain an insight into the traditional shape and colour of Hungarian gingerbreads. Of course, there will also be gingerbreads inspired by Yorkshire life!
