Bence Krajcsó HU

Bence Krajcsó is well-known in the circle of Hungarian folk revival and zither movement. Since his childhood has he lived for music. He took up the zither and started to learn ancient pentatone Hungarian folk music when he was 12.  In 2012  he won an award on the popular “Fölszállott a páva 2012” televised folk music and folk dance talent show, and through this he became the zitherist of the year. In 2013 he was given the title “Young Master of Folk Art” for his work by the Hungarian Government. Despite his young age he has been given several prizes,  gained recognition, participated in many folk music albums and performed in the greatest concert halls of Hungary.

In his concert the everyday traditional zither appears as a concert instrument as a solo art form. Bence demonstrates the several possibilities the zither offers. Beside the authentic Hungarian folk music, the audience can hear Balkanian and Bulgarian melodies and their covers looking into world music. The main idea of the concert is to express emotions through real musical delicacies.
