The Professional Artistic Ensemble “Maros” was established in the year 1956 and carries the name of the biggest river within the Carpathian Mountains, being born from the necessity of researching and cherishing the rich traditions, customs, folk songs and dances inherited from our ancestors.
In this noble mission, the Ensemble presents traditional dances from East-Transilvanian villages inhabited by Romanians, Hungarians, Germans and Gypsies.
The beauty of the costumes, the melodies of the songs, the interpretation taken to virtuous peaks makes our ensemble appreciated by millions of spectators from Romania and abroad, and also admired by specialists in this field.
Now, through everything we do, we aim to be part of a united Europe, to take along with us and share our specific spiritual wealth.
