Due to the Covid-19 emergency we have had to cancel this year's festival, which was due to take place in Cathedral Gardens & Exchange Square in Manchester City Centre at the end of June. We have been busy planning an online virtual festival experience GóBé at Home which will bring a taste of Transylvania to your living room. GóBé at Home has been made possible with funding from the Arts Council of England.
Three days of events from the heart of Eastern Europe (Friday 26-Sunday 28 June) will include live streamed workshops, dance performances and an encyclopedia of music, spanning folk, jazz, classical, opera and pop.
From noon every day, join home cooks, top chefs and street food stars as they spill the foodie secrets of Transylvania, sharing hard to find recipes for hard to pronounce dishes including lángos and kürtöskalács.
Workshops run Friday-Sunday 12-2pm, it's dance from 2-4pm and then music from 7-12am every day.
The Line-Up featuring countless music and dance performances will be announced shortly.
