Our music education partner from Kecskemét in Hungary will be getting involved with Góbéfest virtually this year. We will be showcasing a virtual workshop in the family activity tent on Sunday 5th of September. We will also stream this virtual workshop so watch this space for further info.
The Mátyás Király Zither Ensemble launched in 2009 as part of the Mátyás Király Elementary School in Kecskemét, Hungary. Their aim is to cherish the Hungarian culture and heritage. By 2014 and 2015 the young the young ensemble was winning Gold Awards on a regular basis at National Folk Music Competitions. They have appeared at numerous prestegious events and festivals around Hungary and Transylvania, such as The Székely Vágta, Sepsiszentgyörgy, Székelyland and The Annual Dancehouse Conference in Budapest.
