At Góbéfest, music, community, and the environment are deeply connected. Inspired by folk traditions, we’re committed to creating a festival that’s kind to our planet and we invite you to join us.
We use the donut tool, developed by Vision:2025, to measure and communicate our environmental and social impact across key areas.
Energy
100% of power at our festival comes from renewable sources.
Material & Waste
85% of waste is diverted to reuse or recycling.
Zero single-use plastics in food and drink areas.
Food & Drink
All food traders follow sustainable practices.
Reusable cups at all bars.
Travel & Transport
We promote public transport, car-sharing, and low-emission travel for artists, crew and audience.
Governance & Communications
We share progress with participants, audiences, and partners, and monitor our carbon footprint.
Protecting intact forests is one of the most effective ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Góbéfest raises awareness of ancient forests in the UK and Europe, especially Transylvania, home to Europe’s largest remaining forest, through music, culture, and storytelling.
Sustainability means more than environmental care:
Every small action counts. Together, we can make Góbéfest a celebration that’s unforgettable—and sustainable.
