Ildikó Keresztes Acoustic Concert Hungary & Transylvania

Ildikó Keresztes is one of the defining performers of Hungarian popular music, standing on stage for more than four decades with unwavering passion and authenticity. She has been honoured with the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit, as well as the Péter Máté Award, the Artisjus Award, and the eMeRTon Award. In 2026, she continues her highly successful jubilee concert tour, inspired by her memorable large‑scale concert titled “House of Memories”, held on 17 October 2025 at the MOM Cultural Centre in Budapest.

Born in Marosvásárhely (Târgu Mureș, Transylvania), she moved to Hungary in the 1980s and soon became one of the most distinctive voices in Hungarian pop and rock music. Her deep, smoky vocal tone and exceptionally sincere performance style instantly captivate audiences — whether she sings powerful rock ballads, blues‑tinged songs, or lyrical pop pieces.

Throughout her career, she has released six solo albums — three of which achieved gold status — along with numerous singles and EPs. Over the past decades, she has collaborated on dozens of albums with Hungary’s most respected artists, and has worked with legendary musicians and bands such as Fecó Balázs, Miklós Varga, and Omega.

Beyond her work as a singer, Keresztes Ildikó has also built a significant career as an actress. She regularly appears in musicals, rock operas, and spoken‑word theatre productions, and is an honorary lifelong member of the Sopron Petőfi Theatre.

She is also widely known through her television appearances: she served as a judge for three seasons on the Hungarian edition of the international talent show franchise X‑Factor.

In addition to her concerts, theatre roles, and media appearances, she frequently takes part in charitable events and often advocates for animal welfare.

Despite her many achievements and her life in Hungary, she has remained deeply connected to her Transylvanian roots — her heritage, faith, and values permeate her entire body of work.
