Leeds Saulutė and Manchester Lithuanian Sunday schools with Vėtrungė Folk Dance Group LT

1. Leeds Saulutė Lithuanian School dance group

We are an enthusiastic children’s dance group from Leeds, proudly embracing traditional Lithuanian folk dances and celebrating our deep connection to Lithuanian culture and roots. Formed just three years ago, our group brings together dancers aged 3 to 10, with mums occasionally joining in to add even more joy and togetherness to our performances.

This year marks our second appearance at Góbéfest with our teacher Agne Roke and we’re thrilled to share the spirit, colour, and heritage of Lithuania with you once again.

2. Manchester Lithuanian Sunday School

We are the Manchester Lithuanian Sunday school folk dance group. Led by the dance teacher Diana Balsevičienė, our dancers are aged 6 to 12 years. After a brilliant debut at Gobefest last year, our young dancers are more inspired than ever. They are buzzing with excitement to return to the stage this year and share the vibrant energy and heritage of Lithuania with the community!

3. Vetrunge folk dance group came together in 2017 with a plan to perform once for St. Casimir’s fair, however it quickly grew into a group that we see today, enjoying dancing together and performing in various places, such as Dance and Song festival in Lithuania, European Lithuanian’s Culture days all around Europe and Lithuanian national TV as well as local events around the UK. Group leaders are Gerda Kuprelyte and Mantas Alekna.
