Monty Folk, Montgomery’s community ceilidh band, was set up in early 2014 and has been going from strength to strength ever since. The band have learned some Hungarian repertoire through their town’s connection with the Bards of Wales poem. They also play a varied blend of Welsh, Irish and Breton music guaranteed to get everyone dancing.
The band features a mix of talented instrumentalists playing a range of instruments from flute, recorder, accordion, fiddle, Mandolin, Cajón, Cello and guitar to name a few. As a community band Monty Folk like to encourage everyone to come along and make great music. They love meeting new people and making people dance.
